Mihai Dudoiu

Mihai is specialized in banking and finance matters, acting for international and local banks and syndicates of financial institutions. He is one of the most experienced Romanian lawyers in transactions with NPLs and other assets originated by banks, advising international investors for more than 10 years on such transactions.

Mihai is acknowledged as a market-leading practitioner, being ranked as a market leader by IFLR 1000 and as a leading individual by Legal500.

Mihai has been acting as a solicitor for 25 years. Before founding Legal Ground together with Sergiu, Mihai worked with international law firms. In 2011 he became a partner at the Romanian largest law firm, heading the firm’s banking and finance practice group for 15 years.

Sergiu Negreanu

Sergiu is specialised in finance law, having an experience of more than 10 years. Before founding Legal Ground together with Mihai, he made his mark in complex finance projects and M&A deals involving financing elements. Besides traditional finance, Sergiu is specialised in digital banking, fintech, payment services and other legal aspects related to new technologies in the finance world.

His consistency in successfully advising his clients has brought him accolades from the legal international publications. IFLR1000 named him as a Rising Star and Legal 500 as a Key Lawyer.

Before starting his career as a lawyer, Sergiu earned a LL.M. degree in International Business Law, at King’s College London, specialising in international finance.

Razvan Furdui

Razvan has over 10 years of experience in litigation, the IT&C sector, and the pharmaceutical industry. He has led the legal function for one of the key players in retail pharmacy and medicine distribution in Romania, managing complex due diligence projects, negotiating high-value commercial agreements, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

He is also specialized in labour law, advising on employment contracts, disciplinary procedures, restructuring processes, and compliance with Romanian and EU employment regulations. His background includes advising IT&C companies on crossborder transactions and representing clients in high-stakes disputes. Having worked in top-tier law firms and in-house for global companies, Razvan combines deep legal expertise with a business-oriented approach to deliver practical, value-driven solutions.

Alex Bumbu

Alex is a highly regarded real estate lawyer with over a decade of experience advising major investors and developers. His expertise covers the full real estate lifecycle, including acquisitions, lease agreements, contractor arrangements, and M&A transactions with significant real estate components.

Clients regularly entrust Alex to lead strategic partnerships, high-profile property deals, and joint ventures—coordinating all stages from legal due diligence through to contract negotiation and execution.

Known for his hands-on approach, responsiveness, and deep understanding of Romanian real estate law, Alex has represented leading developers, institutional investors, and multinational companies in numerous landmark transactions across large-scale residential, office, and infrastructure projects.

Alex Mitra

Alex is a member of the Bucharest Bar since early 2012, his area of expertise covering all matters of dispute resolution, representing clients both in litigations before the Romanian courts, as well as in internal and international arbitrations.

Alex represents clients on a variety of matters, from restitution and ownership claims, to disputes on contracts, administrative and tax disputes, insolvency procedures and arbitrations – either under the Rules of the International Commercial Arbitration Court of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Romania or under the ICC Rules of Arbitration.

His most notable cases include the litigation regarding the construction of an important Romanian research institute and a complex arbitration following the termination of a FIDIC Red Book contract for the construction of a waste storage and management facility. alex.m@legalground.eu

Sorina Stefoni

Sorina is specialised in finance and corporate matters, with extensive experience advising on complex banking and financial projects. Alongside her advanced academic achievements, including degrees in Law and Finance & Banking and a Master’s in Taxation, Sorina holds a PhD in Finance.

She applies her comprehensive understanding of financial principles and experience as a qualified business lawyer to advise both foreign and Romanian clients on a wide range of complex issues. With a solid background in financing projects, she has successfully managed numerous finance and corporate related matters.

Sabrina Necula

Sabrina Necula is a seasoned lawyer specializing in M&A and real estate, with a strong track record across a wide range of industries, including real estate, energy, retail, healthcare, ecommerce, agriculture, and financial services.

She has advised numerous Romanian and international investors, gaining significant expertise in structuring and executing complex transactions. Her practice covers the entire transactional cycle, from due diligence investigations, to transaction structuring, negotiating the transaction documents and assisting throughout transaction closing.

Sabrina holds a double law degree from Bucharest University and University Paris 1 Panthéon Sorbonne. She has previously worked with a leading Romanian law firm and the Bucharest office of an international law firm.

Nisa Jecu

Nisa is one of the very few lawyers in Romania who is fully specialized in energy projects.

Over her career of almost 20 years, Nisa has been advising clients on some of the largest energy projects in Romania, focusing on natural gas and renewable energy projects.

As an energy-law specialist, Nisa has extensive experience in energy-related financing and M&A transactions, in corporate law and commercial law for large energy companies.

Nisa prepared numerous due diligence reports on large-scale projects, with a focus on energy-related permitting, title on project assets, project contracts and project companies.

Nisa is skilled in drafting and negotiating transaction documents including PPAs, advising on transaction structuring and implementation, as well as handling all regulatory matters surrounding the local market and the day-to-day business of energy market players.

Luciana Plesca

Luciana has been a member of the Bucharest Bar since 2013, having extensive experience in corporate law and M&A transactions, covering due diligence, deal structuring and negotiations, as well as execution of transaction-related documents.

Over the course of her practice, she has provided strategic legal support to multinational clients across various sectors, such as pharma, technology, automotive, and food manufacturing industry.

Additionally, she has gained substantial experience in competition law, including the preparation and management of merger clearance filings before the Romanian Competition Council.

Alexandru Manucu

Alexandru is a tax adviser with over 15 years of experience, covering corporate and international taxation, tax structuring, personal income taxation, and tax residency matters for both individuals and companies. Having held senior roles in leading professional services firms, including the Big Four, he has guided clients through complex cross-border transactions, group reorganisations, and multi-jurisdictional tax projects across diverse industries such as banking, energy, real estate, gambling, and agriculture.
